…In the section of the Ministerial Guidelines dedicated to primary prevention in sports, specific reference is made to protective equipment: “…it is advisable for sports center staff to recommend the use of mouth guards and/or face masks depending on the type of sporting activity, informing the individual of the long-term benefits of such safety equipment (Levin et al., 2012; Çaglar et al., 2010; Çetinbas et al., 2008)”.

THE AUTHOR

Fabio Fantozzi – Dental technician

Born in Ascoli Piceno on 17 March 1970, he graduated from the I.P.S.I.A. in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1990.

He is fully dedicated to orthodontics, attending national and international courses and conferences and training with some of the most important professionals in the field. His decades of experience in the construction of custom-made orthodontic devices has led him to develop in-depth expertise in orofacial protection for sports use.
